" My name is Erika Gorgichuk and I grew up in Northern Alberta. My dad and grandfather introduced me to hunting at a very young age along with everything else the outdoors had to offer. I have always had a passion for hunting but it wasn’t till I got my first bow that it truly became my life. Harvesting an animal and taking it from field to fork is what drives me, knowing where my food comes from is important to me. I have been fortunate enough to be apart of a community of female hunters that have inspired me, supported me and opened new doors to the hunting lifestyle. I love to pass on my hunting knowledge and see others get into hunting and appreciate everything it has to offer. "I'm so excited to be a part of the Just Hunt Team, I am a fan of everything this brand stands for. I instantly fell in love with the Just Hunt quote 'I eat therefore I hunt'. I've been fishing for as long as I can remember, hunting for 7 years and am recently became a licensed trapper. Alberta gives me 4 months total to hunt plus I get another 3 months to trap and fishing in-between. Being in nature is where i'm happiest, whether on foot or machine and these hobbies enable me do it almost all year long! I love being able to hunt, and process my own food, along with growing a garden and preserving my food."

"There are many reasons to love the outdoors and you don't have to be a hunter to appreciate what mother nature has to offer. Although hunting in particular is something that can be traced back to the very beginning of our existence, it is a tradition that is slowly fading away. But, with people like Amanda Lynn Mayhew around, we can ensure our hunting heritage isn't lost or forgotten. It is extremely important to advocate and spread awareness to uneducated individuals and especially youth/kids. For me, being in the woods is the ultimate experience. From an early age I have always been drawn to the "wooded realm", as I like to call it. From beginning my survival trips at just 16 years of age and going into the forest alone with just a simple pocket knife and little knowledge to an avid outdoorsman who now travels for weeks at a time in remote locations and alone while hunting predators including wolves and black bear, it is always a humbling experience. There is always something to learn in the forest, on the trail or in the fields and marshes. Each day brings new experiences and tests your limits and that is something I'd love to share with many other like-minded individuals! Amanda Lynn Mayhew was gracious enough to invite me on a Moose Hunt in 2022 and I couldn't have felt like I was in a better hunting family, so to speak. Her and the Just Hunt Crew have all welcomed me with open arms and I will always be appreciative of my experiences with everyone involved with Just Hunt and That Hunting Girl, Amanda Lynn Mayhew. Her drive and attitude and message that she puts across through social media platforms, video and her stories, expertise and strong determination are what inspire thousands around the country and the world! She's a voice for young girls, even boys and full grown men like myself. I am honoured to call her my friend and anyone who loves the outdoors, shooting or just straight up real content with a great message, Just Hunt is for you! "My name is Lynz Zagar. I am 44 years old and a mom of 3 beautiful daughters. I live in the Cariboo region in BC, to which the Canadian Fishing Highway passes threw. We have hundred of lakes in the area. Stocked with kokanee and different trout species. Burbot can also be found in many lakes in the area as well. It's a place for all anglers to experience all levels of fishing. I I deeply proud to call this area home. I co-own ATTITUDE TACKLE AND OUTDOOR WEAR, as well as host an annual fundraiser derby in the fall for our members and participants that come from all over BC. I have been fishing since I was 8 years old, starting in Fork Lake, AB moving full time to BC in 2014. My first kokanee catch was in 2009 at Dunn Lake BC and since that moment I was hooked and continued my search for kokanee throughout BC regions. Through my passion I have been able to catch multiple species here in BC, tour the lakes and film with Amanda Lynn in 2023 while landing my first sturgeon beside her.
